Just going through some old bookmarks and found this thread. It's crazy how much the industry has changed. Back in the day, you could just throw up a free site with a few galleries and get thousands of hits. Now you need a whole content strategy just to get noticed. Still, it's a good trip down memory lane.

Tell me about it. I remember when a PR3 domain was worth thousands. Now people won't even take them for free. The game is definitely different now, but the core principles are still the same. Find traffic, send it to a sponsor, get paid.
