Non-reciprocal directories

I'm trying to build up some authority for a new paysite I'm launching. I don't mind paying for a listing, but I absolutely hate putting up reciprocal links on my main page because it leaks traffic. Does anyone know of any decent non-reciprocal directories (no recip required) that are actually moderated by humans and don't just accept every piece of spam? I'm willing to pay a small fee if the directory has real traffic.

There are a few left. The most popular one is probably the Adult Webmaster Directory (AWD). They review manually, so it takes a couple of days to get approved, but they don't require a reciprocal link. Just make sure your site looks professional. If it's just a generic TGP template, they'll reject it.

Don't forget the blog directories. A lot of the ones that require no reciprocal link are specifically for blogs, but they accept paysite review blogs. Just build a small review blog for your paysite and submit it. It's a loophole that still works and gives you a clean one-way backlink.
