Tomorrows pioneers are not us here, least in my two years I have not seen a truly out of the box concept in adult anywhere, last one was tubes - even that is a youtube clone. I read all this 'thinking outside the box' rhetoric but at the end of the day who is really innovating? For every million ideas of innovation 99.9999% fail, and many with a lot of finance behind them. Why waste your time seeking the almost unatainable?

Most of us, if not all, are doing the bog standard "it works for others I can make it work too". Blogs, TGP's, SEO, galleries, freesites, tubes, regular paysites. Outside the box is not finding a new traffic source, making an established type of site you havent made before, or using a new type of ad or a fancy wordpress plug in. It's coming up with a whole new concept.

Personally, I would rather use existing proven methods that I know already work, than going out on a limb and hoping I might be the next Youtube, Myspace, Digg or Twitter.

Thinking inside the box still works, if you do it right.
