I think a lot of the "experienced" webmasters on here - ppl I totally respect, btw - got in on this game a few years ago, when things were easier to get started, and now they have momentum that can carry them through rough months (like April is turning out to be, for me) whereas newbies - those in this biz for less than, say, three years - are struggling our asses off because of all the competition these days. Still, I KNOW there's a point where success takes over and I can take that day (or three) OFF and just let the sales/rebills come in. But not there yet! As I said, working 12-16 hours a day, 7 days a week is the only way I know success will come. Oh how I wish this were 2002!!! LOL
All the advice above is awesome, and I plan on taking a lot of it to heart. All work and no play makes EVERYONE a dull boy. Keep your spirits up - and try and get out into the sunshine once in a while.

When I was starting out in 2001-2002, i was working full time and just came home and worked each and every evening also all weekend. The damage that does to your social and family life can't be understated enough. If you are isolated enough you lose contact with friends and one day when you have a successful business you realise you are utterly alone.
Sitting in front of the computer all day is not healthy, and long periods of social isolation make you develop some pretty antisocial habits and behaviour which could probably come back and bite your business later on. Its no mistake that people who shun the outside world can find it increasingly difficult to network and interact with others even on webmaster boards like this.
My advice is make at least some time each evening or put aside a day when you get out and do things away from the PC. Money is nothing without the quality of life to back it up.
