Software Advice? Server side conversion of video files?

Best thing I have heard of for this, is iTinySoft Total Video Converter, Total Video2Dvd, E.M. Youtube video download tool,Magic Swf2Avi 2008, E.M. Easy Dvd Copy, E.M. Free PowerPoint Video Converter, Visual Photo++,Magic Morph,Magic Swf2Gif, I have never used it myself, and it only seems to accept Flash based YouTube vids as the base source.

Most of the others only seem to output to flash. Where I used to work, they had a similar system to above, but that was coded by a third party, and not an off the shelf programme.
